Next year will see a lot of games begin 2022 with a bang (granting that none of them get delayed), and while some are the big blockbusters, one of them is the very interesting Sifu. The game sees you on a quest for vengeance as you progress through various levels. The game features a very unique aging system where each death ages you, and plenty of punchy combat. Now the developer has released a behind the scenes video about how that combat came to be.

In an over 6 minute video, we get a breakdown of how they decided to do the mocap and kung fu in the game. One of the things they wanted to do was stay away from the ‘flashy’ type of kung fu style you often see in films to opt for a more brutal, realistic style. You also get a look at how the mocap happens, with some pretty neat (and kind of funny) scenes of people in full suits trying hard not to hit on another. Check it out in full below.

Sifu will release on February 22nd 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via the Epic Games Store.
