Sleeping Dogs “Year of the Snake” DLC goes live

Continues the story arc and adds new weapons and abilities.

The Year of the Snake DLC for Sleeping Dogs has finally landed. The DLC picks up from where the main story concluded and finds protagonist Wei Shen working full time back in the Hong Kong Police. However, he has swooped down to the position of a constable. A series of bombings by the mysterious Cult of the Snake has him pursuing the perpetrators in order to thwart them from executing their devious plan, and gain the trust of his fellow policemen in the process.

The pack expands Wei’s arsenal with a tear gas launcher and an electroshock pistol, and also adds some new outfits and abilities on top of the new story missions. The content seems to be a high octane rush with Wei racing against time, as demonstrated by the trailer below.

The Year of the Snake is up for grabs on PSN, Xbox Live and Steam for $6.99, 560 Microsoft Points, €5.49, or £4.39.
