Rebellion have announced that they will be launching Sniper Elite 4 this year. The fourth entry in their hit shooter series will still be set in World War II, taking players to Italy to face the war on another front entirely.
The game is set immediately after the ending of Sniper Elite 3. In the new game, marksman Karl Fairburne is sent to the forests, mountains and coastal towns of 1943 Italy, where he must fight alongside the Italian Resistance to help free their country from the fascist government, and defeat the looming threat of Nazi Germany.
The game will come with the traditional campaign, as well as multiplayer modes. It will be the first game in the series to be made exclusively for the current generation spec, and it will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second on both, the Xbox One and the PS4. The PC version will probably end up targeting higher end graphics as well.
