Have you always wanted to play as a female sniper, instead of a male sniper? Well, you’re in luck, then- depending on whether or not you count spending extra money ‘luck,’ in any case. Pre-ordering Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will unlock an additional single-player campaign starring a new female protagonist, publisher CI Games have revealed.
“The Escape of Lydia lets players become a female sniper and complete the prequel missions that expand [the game’s] the story,” CI Games said in a press release. They also shared an image of the character you would be playing as in the prequel campaign, which you can see for yourself above.
As of right now, it is unknown whether or not the DLC mission will be made available separately after the game launches- I really hope it is, because as it stands right now, locking content like this behind an expensive pre-order is a pretty scummy move. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will launch on January 27 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
