SoulCalibur 6 continues the series’ long, rich tradition of having awesome guest characters- in this case, Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher series will be featured in the new game as a guest fighter. So it makes sense that the cover for the new game will highlight this very prominently.
And indeed, the new cover for the game, which was revealed for both, the Xbox one and PS4 versions of the game, shows Geralt of Rivia featured and emphasized heavily in the cover art. You can check out the cover art for the PS4 and Xbox One versions for yourself below- I think this is a good idea in that it might get more people who fall outside the traditional fanbase for the series to look into this new one.
SoulCalibur 6 is due out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. The new game will be chronologically one of the earliest games in the series’ timeline.
