THQ Nordic is releasing Spellforce 3 today on PC at long last, bringing the newest installment in the cult classic and beloved RTS franchise to gamers. And if you need any more urging to go and get this game for yourself- or if you just want to see what all the hubbub is about- the good news is, they have a fantastic launch trailer for you to look at. You can watch it for yourself below.

Spellforce 3 will set the story right before SpellForce: The Order of Dawn, and apparently represents a ‘back to the roots’ approach for the franchise. Apart from a full fledged campaign (with multiple RPG elements layered on top!), the game will also have local and online multiplayer.

Right now, the game is releasing exclusively on PC- and honestly, given how complex an RTS it seems to be, it might remain that way forever. Not that I would want the game dumbed down so it could hit consoles, either.
