Spider-Man PS4: Insomniac Focused on City Traversal and Web Slinging, Will Require Player Skill

Exciting stuff.

We all remember Spider-Man 2– no, not the movie (though that was amazing too). The game. It was everything one could want a Spider-Man game to be, complete with the web slinging and city traversal and a complete open world. It really made you feel like Spider-Man, and with the upcoming Spider-Man for the PS4, the hope for everyone has been that it will allow you to do the same thing- being able to go from one edge of the city to the other without ever having to touch the ground.

And it looks like Insomniac know exactly how important that is for a good Spider-Man game. During the game’s E3 Coliseum panel, the game’s creative director Bryan Intihar said that the development team at Insomniac focused a great deal on the parkour and city traversal elements, complete with all the web slinging, saying that it is all completely fluid and is actually backed by a proper physics system. Intihar also said that traversing through the city with the web slinging will actually require skill from the players, which makes sense.

Insomniac have been saying all the right things about their upcoming game, and all the footage we’ve seen of Spider-Man so far has been absolutely excellent. Stay right here on GamingBolt and we’ll keep bringing you more updates on the game as they come our way.
