Among the many exciting games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch this year are Splatoon 2, which is due out later this month, and the surprising crossover Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, which will release next month. Today, we learned how much space you need to clear on your Switch if you intend to by these games digitally, thanks to the UK Nintendo eShop.
The answer is… not a whole lot. Collectively, the games are a little over 5GB, with Splatoon 2 coming in at 3.1GB, and Kingdom Battle coming in at 2.3GB. The file sizes are a surprise, but perhaps they shouldn’t be- apart from the lone exception of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which came in at an appreciable 13.4GB, other Switch games have had really reasonable file sizes.
Splatoon 2 will be launching on July 21, while Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is an August 29 release. Are you going to be getting either? Make sure to let us know in the comments section below.
