Splatoon 2’s Final New Stage Revealed by Nintendo

How will Splatoon 2 stay fresh after this?

Posted By | On 26th, Sep. 2018

Nintendo’s post launch support for Splatoon 2 has been exceptional, taking a game that was honestly a bit disappointing at launch and turning it into a robust, full of content title that has continued to receive free weapons, gear, and maps on a weekly basis, as well as new modes and new progression perks. However, that post launch support may be coming to an end now, at least on the stages front.

On Twitter, Nintendo announced the last new stage that is set to be added to the game, called Skipper Pavillion. Screenshots were also shared, which you can see in the tweet below. The interesting thing to note here is that the tweet explicitly specifies “new” stages— it is entirely possible redos of stages that appeared in Splatoon, but have yet to show up in Splatoon 2, will still be fair game. Or that could just be wishful thinking, and the flow of maps for the game may be about to dry up.

Splatoon 2 is out now, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
