Splatoon 2’s Newest Splatfest Asks You To Pick Between Vampires and Werewolves

Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Posted By | On 09th, Oct. 2017

Splatoon 2‘s newest Spaltfest is in keeping with the festivities of the season. The new event asks you to pick between two creepy monsters, in the spirit of Halloween- vampires (fronted by Pearl, which means they are automatically the incorrect choice), or werewolves (Team Marina, ergo the right team).

Halloween festivities aside, some others may also recognize this question as being yet another take on the Team Edward versus Team Jacob shenanigans that Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series induced in its fanbase some years ago. It looks like we can never truly escape its scourge.

The new Splatfest is due to begin at midnight, October 14 (that is, this coming weekend), and will, as always, run through the weekend. The shells you get from the Splatfest can then be used to reroll your equipment (or to give it more ability slots), so participation is going to be pretty useful. Splatoon 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch exclusively.
