Splatoon 2’s Newest Weapon Is The Undercover Brella

The Undercover Brella can fire while its semi-transparent shield is open.

Splatoon 2 received its latest weapon today at 11 AM JST. The weapon is the latest addition to the Brella weapons and is known as the Undercover Brella. Nintendo had revealed information and some screenshots about this new weapon through their Twitter handle.

The Undercover Brella will be able to fire ink rapidly while its shield is still open. This is perhaps the most unique aspect of this weapon although the semi-transparent shield is not as durable as other Brella weapons.  Its sub weapon is the Ink Mine which will allow players to place deadly traps and its special is the Spashdown which will allow players to attack from higher ground.

It should certainly be interesting to see how this new weapon is used by players to gain a tactical advantage. The new weapon is available right now in-game. You can check out the original Tweet along with the screenshots below.
