After the incredible – if a little bizarre – success of the first Splatfest event, Nintendo will be back with yet one- Splatfest will be returning on July 17, starting at 9:00pm PT on Friday July 17, and going on for the next 24 hours. So basically, for the 24 hour period that covers this Splatfest, you’ll be picking a side, and then fighting for its honor.

And what is this slide? Well, it is an issue that deeply divides all of us, an issue that everyone takes a stance on. Wars have been fought over this question, so Splatoon’s game sessions on this are sure to be intense- roller coasters versus water slides. That is right, you must choose one, and then stick with it.

As of right now, this Splatfest has only been announced for North America, but Europe will probably get its own announcement soon too, especially given how successful their first Splatfest went too.

But maybe this time, maybe this time the winning team can be the one that actually one, rather than the one that had more people on it…
