Splatoon’s Next Splatfest Asks The All Important Question: Pokemon Red or Pokemon Blue?

This is how wars begin.

Splatoon

Nintendo’s really been having some fun with Splatoon’s Splatfest events. During a Splatfest, Nintendo asks a question with two options, and all Splatoon players pick a side, and then fight for it, with all their points and victories counting towards that side. The questions have always been whimsical and fun- things like Cats or Dogs, Water Slides or Roller Coasters, Hot Dogs or Burgers, and Autobots or Decepticons. You know- the fun stuff.

But this new question, this new question is the stuff that wars are made off. In keeping with the Pokemon 20th Anniversary celebrations, the new question asks players the all important question- do you prefer Pokemon Red? Or Pokemon Blue? Yessh, guys. This is the kind of thing that starts wars.

You can go and pick a side over in Splatoon right now. As of right now, this Splatfest has been confirmed for North America and Japan- hopefully players in Europe get to join in too.
