The long anticipated return/reboot of Nintendo’s arcade shooter series, Star Fox, is coming to Wii U some time this year, but so far, we haven’t even seen a single piece of media for the game. We don’t even know what it looks like, or heck, what it’s called.
Well, all of that may be about to change soon, as Miyamoto recently confirmed in an interview, which you can watch above, that the game will be playable for the first time ever, at E3 this year.
“We’ll have a version of it ready at E3 that everyone can play,” he said.
“One of the questions that we often get is ‘How is the GamePad being used in any particular game?'” Miyamoto said. “Star Fox is a game where having two screens is really important and it works really well.”
Let’s hope that the game actually benefits from the Wii U Gamepad, and isn’t another Star Fox game tragically undermined by needless gimmickry.
