Star Wars Battlefront 2 Free DLC Detailed

Posted By | On 09th, Jun. 2017

Star Wars Battlefront 2 won’t have paid DLC- instead, in an effort to ensure the community isn’t split this time around, DICE and EA will be making DLC available to all players for free- at least, unless EA decides to backtrack on this decision. Until then, however, we have free DLC. And today, EA and DICE explained how it will work.

This DLC will take the form of seasons- and according to EA, the aim here is to drive player engagement with the game every day. “Each season brings fresh, new downloadable content, available to all players. With exciting new locations, characters and quests, you can take part in a connected universe and be rewarded as an active member of the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 community,” they said.

This is fine- as long as the microtransactions are not too egregious (basically, have them for optional cosmetic items), this is a more than fair trade off, and only contributes to my surging excitement for the game. Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in November this year.
