Star Wars Battlefront 2’s AFK Credit Farming Will Be Addressed By DICE

The first and only time I will be on DICE's side regarding Battlefront 2.

Look, I have made my disdain for Star Wars Battlefront 2, and for EA, known and very clear already. But what I was not a fan of, when I reported on it last week, was players who were resorting to gaming the game’s grind for credits by using rubber bands on their controller to automatically farm credits without setting off the game’s AFK tracker, that kicks you from a game if you are idle or inactive for too long.

I feel like, no matter how you feel about those credits, doing this is unfair to other players who do play by the rules- and you should never be unfair to other players. Thankfully, it sounds like this issue has become widespread enough to catch DICE’s attention, and that they will be issuing a fix for it soon enough. DICE producer Ali Hassoon has confirmed DICE’s intent to address the problem on the official Battlefront forums.

Hopefully the fix comes soon. Meanwhile, guys, if Battlefront 2 offends you so much that you don’t want to play it- don’t play it. But don’t make it worse for people who do want to play it, okay?
