Have you been talked into wanting the game?
In the wake of the newest Star Wars Battlefront Trailer, which seems to have disappointed as many people as it pleased, EA and DICE have been going all out to talk about the game. Be it a somewhat personal approach, or a more definitive statement, the game is starting to take shape in the public eye.
Producer Jesper Nielsen has been on Reddit talking as best he can about the game and the differences between the Xbox One and PS4. He said, “I’m sorry, but I simply can’t go into too much detail on these things. Yes, it looks great on Xbox One as well. But if you want me to start specifying if XB1 and PS4 versions look identical, etc., that’s a level of detail I just can’t go into yet. Remember it’s also still in development; there’s a lot of months to go with optimizations, tweaks and polish.”
He went on to add his personal opinion, saying “What I can say though, as a personal prediction: I think this will be one of the most beautiful games, if not the most beautiful game, on all three platforms when it launches. Remember that’s just my personal prediction, not a fact (e.g. I don’t know how other games will look by then, etc.)”
With Phil Spencer having recently spoken about how this years E3 will have more Gameplay than it does Trailers, we can hope that the game will make an appearance in earnest at the show. Nielsen himself has said, regarding gameplay footage, “It will come in due time.” Who knows, we might even see a surprise Hardline-esque Beta.
