Star Wars Battlefront Trailer Is How The Game Looks on PS4 Right Now

'This is how it looks right now.'

The Star Wars: Battlefront trailer looked absolutely amazing, but if you were skeptical of it, you would have been forgiven. After all, the trailer looked oh so good, and we have been fooled by misleading pre-release promotional trailers and screenshots so much this generation.

That said, while your skepticism may have been justified, it was also wrong, at least according to DICE. What you saw in that trailer is how the game looks on the PS4, right now.

“I don’t like making hard guarantees,” assistant producer Jesper Nielsen said in a Reddit thread about the trailer, posting as DICE_TheBikingViking. “The game hasn’t shipped yet. We’re not done with it. But this is how it looks right now – on PS4 as well, yes.”

That is excellent news, really, and it shouldn’t come as an altogether surprising development to anyone, either. Say what you will about anything else DICE related, there is no doubt that the studio is a master of eking out graphical performance from all sorts of hardware.

Star Wars: Battlefront launches on Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
