Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC Patch Improves Performance, Adds QoL Fixes, and More

The patch also removes Denuvo DRM, fixes a number of bugs and crashes, and adds quality-of-life improvements, among other things.

When Respawn Entertainment announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s last-gen release date a little over a month ago, the developer confirmed that it would also be releasing a patch for the action-adventure title’s PC version in order to “bring enhancements to the game’s technical performance, controls and more, plus a variety of quality-of-life improvements.” That patch is now out.

As per the patch notes released by Respawn and EA for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Patch 9 on PC, it brings improvements in frame rate (including fixing instances of frame rate stuttering, something that many players have reported with the game), while also making several quality-of-life, like improving mouse and keyboard functionality where the UI and menu screens are concerned.

Other tweaks include ray tracing optimization for high-end GPUs, fixes for a handful of bugs and crashes, the removal of Denuvo DRM, and more. Check out the full patch notes below.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It launches for PS4 and Xbox One on September 17.

PATCH NOTES:

Performance Improvements:

  • Framerate improvements for various hardware configurations.
  • Fixes for several sources of framerate hitching for smoother gameplay.  
  • Ray Tracing has been optimized for CPU usage and should now scale better for high-end GPUs.
  • Fixes for performance related to using a mouse as gameplay input.

Quality of Life:

  • The “Optimizing Game Files” screen has been optimized and can now see speed increases from multiple CPU cores.
  • Mouse and keyboard functionality has been improved across a variety of menu screens, including the first time user screens, title menu, game menu, and workbench.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed collision issue where players could fall through elevators at low framerates.
  • Fix for a conversation-related crash when walking away from NPC characters.
  • Fix for various, intermittent crashes.

General:

  • Denuvo DRM has been removed.
