Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is shaping up to be an excellent sequel, based on all that we’ve seen of it so far. Respawn Entertainment is promising an experience that builds on its predecessors biggest strengths while ironing out some of its bigger gameplay issues. One of those issues, of course, was the lack of a fast travel system, which made traversing Fallen Order’s maps a bit cumbersome at times. Thankfully, Respawn has confirmed that it’s listening to fans and will be remedying that issue in the sequel.

Speaking in the upcoming issue of PLAY magazine (via GamesRadar), Star Wars Jedi: Survivor direct Stig Asmussen confirmed that the game will feature a fast travel system, while also reiterating that players will be able to ride several mounts (as revealed in the debut gameplay trailer). As per Asmussen, both additions will make explorations and navigating maps more user-friendly.

“We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A,” he said. “The fast-travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between.”

The inclusion of a fast travel system is something fans of Fallen Order have requested frequently for its upcoming sequel, so this should no doubt come as good news.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was recently delayed, and is now set to launch on April 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
