Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment confirmed a few years back that they were working on a new open world Star Wars game, and though details on the project have been scant since then, there’s been plenty of curiosity around what it’ll shape up as. Recently at the Xbox Games Showcase, we got our first real look at it.
Called Star Wars Outlaws, the game, starring a female protagonist with an adorable companion, will see players going up against criminal syndicates, the underworld, and – you guessed it – outlaws. The trailer, which doesn’t show gameplay but is rendered in-engine, showcases a variety of locations, a fight against a Rancor, various characters, a speeder chase, and more. Check it out below.
More details on Star Wars Outlaws will also be unveiled at Ubisoft Forward tomorrow, where the company will showcase a full gameplay walkthrough. The game is set to launch sometime in 2024.
