Stone Cold Steve Austin Will Be The Cover Star For WWE 2K16

I don't even follow wrestling, and even I know this is a big deal.

WWE 2K16

The cover star for this year’s WWE entry, WWE 2K16, has been revealed ahead of time, and I think a lot of long time wrestling fans will be very happy with the announcement indeed. The legendary ‘Texas Rattlesnake,’ Stone Cold Steve Austin, will be featuring on the cover of the game this year, and also be assisting with the features and content of the title.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with 2K to support the WWE 2K franchise, and now I’m absolutely honoured to serve as the WWE 2K16 cover Superstar,” Stone Cold Steve Austin said. “No disrespect to the previous and extremely deserving WWE 2K cover Superstars – Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John Cena – but it’s about time the franchise raised some hell with yours truly on the cover. I look forward to injecting a dose of ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ into this year’s game and overall campaign.”

WWE 2K16 will be hitting Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 later this year on October 27th in North America and October 30th for the rest of the world. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
