The various game modes of WWE 2K15 have been detailed by IGN, and it sounds like the developers are approaching the game and the franchise in new ways for this installment.
In contrast to last year’s 30 Years of Wrestlemania, for example, 2K15 has the 2K Showcase mode, which seeks to tell a personal story instead of the sprawling look at the history of wrestling that the former mode did, by breaking itself up into two episodes and focusing on some of the rivalries that defined WWE (although which rivalries these are, 2K refuses to tell us just yet).
There is also finally a full fledged standalone career mode for people who have been clamoring for one for years now. MyCareer is directly lifted off of 2K’s other popular sport series, NBA 2K, and adapted for the wrestling environment. This mode will only be available in the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, however, so if you’re still on Xbox 360 or PS3, you’re gonna be missing out.
There is this and more information over at IGN for their blowout on the game, so be sure to check it out. And be sure to stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage of this and other games.
