Strange Brigade Shows Off Strange Season Pass, Monthly Content

...But I thought it wasn't Games as a Service?

The third person shooter from Rebellion, Strange Brigade has yet to even launch and prove itself to be a force that will stay around, but the company has outlined some of its post launch plans regardless of the fact nobody knows how good the game is yet.

According to the newly released trailer for the game, seen below, some free content will drop monthly and the studio has promised to detail that later on. As for the nebulous season pass content they want up front payment for, the trailer outlines a three-part mini campaign, new playable heroes, weapons, powers and “All future Strange Brigade Content”. Leaves me wondering- if characters, weapons and powers are part of the pass, what’s the free content?

If you spring for the deluxe edition, the season pass will be included with the game, along with a bonus weapons pack. This new inclusion of expanded monthly content seems to go against past statements of Strange Brigade not being Games As A Service. Are you picking up the game on August 28 for PS4, Xbox One, or PC? Let us know in the comments.
