You probably didn't want the Collector Leviathan's limbs to move independently, but that's exactly what the next update adds.

Subnautica 2_04

We’ve been quite eager to know more about what Subnautica 2 is bringing to the waters in its Early Access 2.0 update, and the team has now obliged.

A new video highlights many interesting additions to the game, along with more information about the Collector Leviathan, including improved physics and the ability to operate each tentacle independently. Just something to remember when you think you’re safe and have evaded its grasp.

The Tadpole also gets a serious upgrade thanks to the Frog Chassis, which gives it arms and legs that change how you traverse the world. For example, it can climb, dash and even boasts a “very strong jump” that should make exploring the new region much smoother than with the Prawn Suit.

Of course, that’s not the extent of what’s new, and it’s quite an impressive set of additions (including one of the new Biomods). The new update is sure to help the game push its already solid sales record even further, which is a good thing, as it means more of you get to enjoy an experience that has had us quite addicted to what it offers.

Subnautica 2 is currently available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our early access review here.
