Unlock Afflictions
In order to unlock Afflictions, simply progress through the story mode normally, and complete Poison Ivy’s Support Squad missions:
Chapter 3: Combat And Chill
Deep Freeze Affliction
A freezing status effect for melee weapons, this affliction will expectedly freeze enemies on the spot for ten seconds. The afflicted will be softened up for ranged weapon damage which is raised 200%, but melee is lowered, and critical hits are eliminated for the duration, as are ammunition drops. This Affliction is a good one to deploy on airborne targets, as it causes them to come crashing back down to earth for 1000% damage.
Chapter 3: Best Frenzy Forever
Venom Frenzy Affliction
This Affliction is essentially a berserk status effect dubbed Crazed, that makes the affected engage anyone in proximity, even allies, for a short while. Health is buffed for the duration.
Chapter 4: Spicy Squad
Diablo Blaze Affliction
Diablo Blaze is a burning status effect that causes victims to take fire damage for the duration, but also prevents them from being harvested for health refills.
Chapter 5: Light ‘Em Up
Livewire Bolt Affliction
This shocking Affliction does what you expect it to do: electrocutes enemies. However it also makes every hit you land an automatic critical hit. The flipside is that the afflicted will themselves dish out more damage to you.

Super Charged Affliction
The Super Charged Affliction does nothing more than further amplify all weapon Afflictions.
