Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been met with lukewarm reception from audiences (at best) since its gameplay demonstration last month, with is live service-focused elements attracting widespread criticism, which, in turn, seems to have effected plans surrounding its release. It was recently reported that the game has been pushed back from its intended late May release, and it’s now looking like the delay might be even more severe than previously anticipated.

Reportedly, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is being pushed back into later this year, with Windows Central’s Jez Corden reporting that it could have been pushed into Q3 of this year, though as per journalist Jeff Grubb, it might be an even longer delay. Speaking recently on his Game Mess Decides podcast, Grubb said that based on what he’s hearing the game has been delayed as far back as 2024.

“I don’t want to cause a panic or anything, but I’ve heard it’s not even coming this year,” he said. “I’m hearing 2024. Earlier this evening I heard this is a delay-ass delay. Like this is a bigger delay than is even being put out there.”

WB Games has yet to make an official announcement regarding the co-op title’s release date, but one would assume that the publisher will be coming out with updated information on the same in the near future.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
