There was little doubt that Super Mario Maker 2 wasn’t going to be a smash hit for Nintendo. Couple one of their biggest IPs with the current love of level building and their most successful console in years, and it’s no wonder it’s topping the charts like it is. If those numbers weren’t enough to tell you the game was massive, the amount of levels that’s already been uploaded sure would.

As announced via the official Nintendo of America Twitter account, already a staggering 2 million levels have been uploaded since it’s June 28th release. So in just over a week’s time, 2 million levels have been created, cleared and uploaded. It’s even more impressive when you take into account the surprisingly low level upload cap. That’s a lot of building, playing, uploading and, I’d also wager, a lot of downloading, too.

Super Mario Maker 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch. You can check out our review of the game here.
