Super Mario Odyssey was of course one of games that everyone was looking forward to at Nintendo’s E3 showing, and the game’s new gameplay trailer did not disappoint. First off, it looks absolutely gorgeous, and it looks like Mario will be visiting all sorts of locations in Odyssey. Hell, one of the biggest surprises of the trailer was seeing an actual t-rex on the screen. That gets us excited about what sorts of things and places we will see in the game.

There’s all manner of new stuff shown in the gameplay video, including a lot of footage showing how Mario will be making use of his new hat-throwing abilities. Check out the full gameplay reveal below. The trailer also confirms that Super Mario Odyssey will indeed be out this year. It will be launching for the Nintendo Switch on 27th October.

Looks like a pretty solid lineup for the Switch, with Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Splatoon 2 all scheduled for launch this year, adding to the number of great games that have already come out for it. We’ll be bringing you more updates on all things Nintendo Switch from E3 as they come our way, so stay tuned to GamingBolt.
