Super Smash Bros. Will Be Getting Lucas DLC on June 14

Right as E3 begins.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will be getting its second DLC character addition next Sunday, on June 14, as the previously announced addition of Brawl veteran Lucas will be made available to players on that day. As with the Mewtwo DLC, players will have multiple options when it comes to purchasing Lucas, and you can buy him for $3.99 on either the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U, or spend $4.99, and get him on both.

Lucas will not be the only major addition made to the game, either, as the game will also be getting free stage DLC in the form of the long awaited Miiverse stage, which was announced before the game even launched; moreover, Splatoon costumes for Mii characters are also going to be added to the game on the same day.

So it should be as good a reason as any to revisit the title at the onset of E3. The timing is especially suspect, happening, as it does, just a couple of days ahead of Nintendo’s E3 showing. It hints at perhaps major announcements pertaining to Smash Bros. to come once E3 is here.

We’ll see.
