Notorious hacking group LulzSec, who’ve recently intruded on the networks of various organisations, have had a major member apprehended by the police in Essex.
The 19-year-old is believed to be one of the masterminds behind LulzSec’s widespread attacks on international businesses and intelligence agencies.
The arrest comes ever so slightly late with the group having supposedly brought down the CIA’s website, along with other ganing companies such as MineCraft, Eve Online, The Escapist and Bethesda.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “The arrest follows an investigation into network intrusions and distributed denial of service attacks against a number of international business and intelligence agencies by what is believed to be the same hacking group.
“Searches at a residential address in Wickford, Essex, following the arrest last night have led to the examination of a significant amount of material. These forensic examinations remain ongoing.”
Let’s hope this puts a stop to the recent cyber terror that seems to be occuring.
