Thanksgiving, in the States, is the holiday about giving thanks for all the people and things we’re grateful for. Of course, once all that crap is over comes Black Friday. While not nearly as big of a deal as it once was with the internet devaluing sales in general, it’s still a big time to join in the never ending, gaping hole of consumerism that we are all trapped in until society collapses and we’re done with all this foolishness that is human life. And this year, it seems Nintendo reigned supreme.

According to a report from CNN, the Switch topped the most popular gaming items for the Black Friday shopping weekend. The most popular bundle was, interestingly, the same as last year, a bundle that included Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

It’s probably not a huge surprise, since the Xbox One and PS4 are aging now with successors coming soon, and the Switch had probably its best overall software year ever. But still, it’s a strong showing for the hybrid system and one that helps show it having a strong lifetime amount of sales isn’t far-fetched at all.
