In the new System Shock Remake, you will find your progress through the Citadel Station barred by locked security doors. Getting through them requires the acquisition of hidden keycards. This guide will list all of these secure access cards and their locations in the game.

A total of twelve keycards are scattered around Citadel, with several having multiple duplicates for you to discover and claim.

Standard (STD) Keycard

The very first keycard is the red Standard (STD) Keycard, which is a mandatory pick-up for story progression. You will find it upon awakening on the Medical Deck, immediately after the Prologue, inside of an open case, right beside the Lead Pipe.

Medical (MED) Keycard

In the Delta Quadrant of the Medical Deck, to the north-west, in the room with the Access Panel, you will find the metallic gray Medical (MED) Keycard lying out in the open, on a medical bed opposite the slumped over corpse.

Personal-1 (PER1) Keycard

In the Central Hub on the Medical Deck, to the north-east is a small room with a blood-spattered console. On the table beside the gore is the pink Personal-1 (PER1) Keycard.

Personal-5 (PER5) Keycard

On the Top Floor of the Security Deck, to the very north. Defeat the cyborg Diego and loot his remains for the pink Personal-5 (PER5) Keycard.

Group-1 (GP1) Keycard

  1. In the Delta Quadrant of the Medical Deck which is to the south-west of the level, you will find shelves to the left of the door, between the two patients. Pick up the blue Group-1 (GP1) Keycard which is lying there in plain sight.
  2. In the Gamma Quadrant of the Medical Deck, to the south-east is a room with a single enemy. Dispatch it, and head for the table with two chairs on the right. Open the briefcase to acquire an additional copy of the blue Group-1 (GP1) Keycard.

Group-B (GPB) Keycard

On the First Floor of the Security Deck, to the north-west, you will find a footless and headless human corpse. Loot it to find the purple Group-B (GPB) Keycard.

Group-3 (GP3) Keycard

In the Gamma Quadrant of the Research Lab Deck, to the far south, enter the room with the short stairs and then move to the left and into the crawlspace beneath it. Turn the corner to find a human corpse with the blue Group-3 (GP3) Keycard in its pockets.

Engineering (ENG) Keycard

  1. To the north of the Systems Engineering Deck is the Alpha Quadrant. Search the armless and headless human corpse that is right beside the audio log titled “Blowing the Station” by Arnold Hessman, to obtain a purple Engineering (ENG) Keycard.
  2. Remaining in the Alpha Quadrant, but in the north-east of the Systems Engineering Deck is a U-shaped crawlspace. Lying on the ground inside is an additional copy of the purple Engineering (ENG) Keycard.
  3. Down to the south-east in the Gamma Quadrant of the Systems Engineering Deck, right beside the Access Panel is another headless corpse. Rifle through its pockets for a third copy of the purple Engineering (ENG) Keycard.
  4. In the Delta Quadrant on the Research Labs Deck, at the Access Panels, enter the hatch and descend down the ladder. Navigate through the crawlspace at the bottom, heading all the way north, until you have to turn east into a small room at the end. In this room is a heavily mutilated human corpse in the corner. Rifle through its pockets for the blue Engineering (ENG) Keycard.

Security (SEC) Keycard

On the Third Floor of the Security Deck, to the west, is a small room with an observation window of outer space. Lying on the floor is the headless corpse of Jaco van Dyk and beside him, his briefcase. Open it for an audio log and the red Security (SEC) Keycard.

Science (SCI) Keycard

  1. In the Beta Quadrant of the Research Lab Deck, head to the far east side, and enter the door to Admin Security. On a console diagonally opposite the door is the yellow Science (SCI) Keycard.
  2. RIght beside it are the remains of a Cyborg Elite Drone, which you can loot for an additional copy of the same yellow Science (SCI) Keycard.
  3. In the Gamma Quadrant of the Research Lab Deck, to the south-west of the area, is a large room. On a console is a yellow Science (SCI) Keycard.

Command (CMD) Keycard

On the Bridge Deck, after defeating the Cortex Reaver in Central, loot its remains for the purple Command (CMD) Keycard.

Admin (ADM) Keycard

In the Delta Quadrant of the Executive Deck. In the large room littered with bodies, turn right from the entrance, and pick up the blue Admin (ADM) Keycard lying beside the corpse on the floor.

That is all 12 keycard locations including alternative duplicates to be found in the System Shock Remake.
