Ubisoft's fiscal year 2025 forecast currently includes the remake, Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Resurgence, and Anno 117: Pax Romana.

Ubisoft’s latest financial reports are available and detail its full fiscal year performance. However, it also outlined the company’s guidance for the fiscal year 2025, which ends on March 31st, 2026, confirming that titles like Anno 117: Pax Romana, Rainbow Six Mobile, and The Division Resurgence will launch during this time.

Of course, other titles will be announced “at a later stage,” but the most interesting release of the line-up is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, which the publisher said would launch in 2026. Fans can essentially look forward to it releasing in the first quarter of next year, i.e. between January 1st and March 31st, 2026.

Unless there’s a delay in the coming months, this is the most concrete release window that the remake has had since its announcement in 2020, which drew extensive criticism over its visuals. After numerous delays, Ubisoft Montreal would take over the project in May 2022 and revealed that development was “progressing forward” in November 2023.

Additional updates have since confirmed redesigned levels and combat alongside an overhaul to Farah’s character. Will it be at Ubisoft Forward typically held in June? Time will tell, so stay tuned.

Ubisoft will also provide updates on Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Resurgence and XDefiant at its June 10th showcase.

Ubisoft has provided extensive updates on its upcoming titles for the fiscal year, primarily Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws. In its full-year 2023-24 earnings release, the publisher confirmed that both titles would receive “updates” at Ubisoft Forward on June 10th.

Other titles slated to appear at the showcase include Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Resurgence, and XDefiant (which launches next week). While it didn’t specify what the updates entail, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will reportedly receive a gameplay reveal, followed by hands-on impressions from journalists and content creators on June 12th.

Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence could receive release dates, while XDefiant’s future maps and characters may be revealed. Of course, there’s room for unexpected announcements, perhaps relating to future titles like Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 and Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe. Ubisoft may also finally provide an update on its co-op shooter Project U. Stay tuned for more updates next month.

In addition to Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Crew Motorfest, Skull and Bones, and more.

Ubisoft has announced a number of cancellations and delays for projects in recent months, but even so, as things stand right now, the next year is looking quite packed for the company as far as its release schedule is concerned. And while the majority of its titles scheduled to launch in that period are ones that the company has previously officially announced, it turns out there’s one that we don’t yet know about.

In its most recent quarterly fiscal report, Ubisoft stated that it has eight games currently lined up for release in FY 2023/24, which runs until March 31 next year, with one of them being listen as an unannounced “large” game.

Other titles listed for release in that period are Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Resurgence, and XDefiant. Interestingly, there is no mention of The Division Heartland, which has already been delayed a few times (similar to a few of the games mentioned above).

With a Ubisoft Forward showcase coming up in less than a month, the company is likely to announce the unnamed game it has scheduled for release in the coming months, in addition to providing updates on other upcoming games.

Both mobile games will launch in FY 2023/24, along with Assassin's Creed Mirage, The Crew Motorfest, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and more.

Ubisoft has new mobile titles in a number of its flagship franchises, and it has now confirmed when two of them will be out. In its recent quarterly fiscal report, the company confirmed that free-to-play mobile titles Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence are both expected to launch in FY 2023/24, which runs from April 1 this year to March 31 next year.

The Division Resurgence will be a fully open world looter shooter experience that will feature a PvE campaign that can be played both solo and co-op, while PvP offerings like the Dark Zone will also be included.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Six Mobile is looking to capture the tactical 5v5 experience of its console brethren on mobile devices. You can learn more about the first person shooter in our interview with lead game designer Oliver Albarracin and creative director Justin Swan through here.

Ubisoft has also reiterated in its report that in addition to the two mobile games, it also plans on released Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, and another “large” unannounced game in FY 2023/24.

Lead game designer Oliver Albarracin and creative director Justin Swan speaking with GamingBolt about Rainbow Six's jump to mobile.

Plenty of major PC and console franchises have made successful jumps to mobile in recent years, and several more are looking to follow in their footsteps- and when it comes to shooters, there aren’t a lot of games that are bigger than Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege. In that sense, the upcoming Rainbow Six Mobile has massive expectations to live up to, with the game promising a faithful translation of the tactical shooter to mobile devices, but its development team is confident that the it’s going to make good on those lofty promises. To learn more about how Rainbow Six Mobile is going to do that and what players can expect from its controls, modes, monetizaton, and more, we recently reached out to its developers with several questions about the game. Below, you can read our interview with lead game designer Oliver Albarracin and creative director Justin Swan.

"We focused on what matters most in Siege: the tactical shooter feeling, using your environment, gadgets and working with your team to overcome the enemy in close quarter combat. Our team of mobile experts and working closely with the Siege team also help us stay true to the Siege experience."

Rainbow Six has seen massive success on PC and consoles, especially with Rainbow Six Siege over the last several years. Is it a daunting task to try and replicate something like that for mobile devices, or do you view it more as an interesting challenge? Or a bit of both, perhaps?

It has definitely been a challenging but rewarding experience in bringing Siege on to mobile. We have built an amazing team filled with mobile experts who have worked really hard to make Siege from the ground up on a new engine. We learnt a lot from the Siege team and have worked very closely with them. They have given us foresight and data to help us nail many mechanics. Yes, it can be daunting, but we have been very transparent from the start about our process and really want to bring Siege that the community wants. We made some changes after the Alpha, we are now in Beta and can expect additional changes as we listen and adapt to our audience’s feedback.

How confident are you that the Rainbow Six experience can be properly adapted as a mobile game without losing too much of what makes it tick?

Rainbow Six Mobile reproduces the same experience you have playing Siege on Console or PC but optimized for the mobile experience. Our philosophy was to keep all the core features – Camera, Control and Character – that Siege has and make them more seamless and natural to execute for the mobile controls. We focused on what matters most in Siege: the tactical shooter feeling, using your environment, gadgets and working with your team to overcome the enemy in close quarter combat. Our team of mobile experts and working closely with the Siege team also help us stay true to the Siege experience.

"The reality of mobile is how many different types of devices there are, all with different aspect ratios, the processing power and RAM. Having a smooth and intuitive experience has been the focus from the start of production. And the HUD, Controls and input systems are things that we will continue to reiterate on."

Specifically where things like controls, the user interface, and the like are concerned, how much tweaking have you had to do to ensure that the game can be comfortably played on smaller touch screen devices?

Yes, the reality of mobile is how many different types of devices there are, all with different aspect ratios, the processing power and RAM. Having a smooth and intuitive experience has been the focus from the start of production. And the HUD, Controls and input systems are things that we will continue to reiterate on. What we have done though is focus on trying to make everybody feel like a pro, an example is to automate some systems and make it easy for players to execute complex actions. An example would be movement transitions: You can walk then sprint then vault over an object just by doing one swipe of your thumb. Instead of multiple inputs on console or PC. Of course if players would rather have a separate input to do all this, we have the options for players to do this in the settings. We have also added many customization options to help players refine how they want to setup their controls and HUD.

Does the hardware of mobile devices prevent Rainbow Six Mobile from doing anything that players might consider core to Rainbow Six Siege?

Many phones nowadays can surpass the performance of consoles and even PCs. You would be surprised to see what is under the hood in some of the new phones and they will only get better. But the biggest hurdle is bringing Rainbow Six Mobile to the lower spec phones. We have benchmarks for a variety of phones to ensure we bring a fair Siege experience to all players. We have brought all the core mechanics that is core to Siege and our phones within our benchmarks will have an immersive environment, solid destruction, high frame rates, smooth gun fights and a highly competitive tactical shooter experience.

Beyond its core 5v5 mode, which looks like a faithful adaptation of the Siege formula, are you looking to add more modes and experiences that are designed specifically around the mobile experience?

Yes, we have focused a huge part of our development to be live ready. We have developed many tools and levers to allow our game to be flexible and feel alive. Game modes are a huge part of this as we have planned many LTE (Limited Time Events) planned that we’re not able to comment on quite yet but excited to share soon!

"We want R6M to be a fair experience and want the game to be a highly competitive. Players will be able to unlock operators, attachments and cosmetics for free by playing the game."

How will you approach monetizing the game?

We want R6M to be a fair experience and want the game to be a highly competitive. Players will be able to unlock operators, attachments and cosmetics for free by playing the game. We do have a new system called tickets, where players can try an operator and if they try an operator enough times, they unlock them. We will also have a battle pass and a shop to purchase cosmetics, such as skins, weapons and avatars.

What can you tell us about your plans for Rainbow Six Mobile’s ongoing support in terms of things such as seasonal content, battle passes, and more?

We will have short engaging seasons, with a release of one operator per season. There will be different events and game modes and the possibility of a new map. There will also be a battle pass with lots of content and leaderboards to climb. And in the future we will have a Ranked mode which we will talk about on a later date.

Check out a new trailer showing off some general gameplay from Rainbow Six Mobile alongside announcing its closed beta.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Rainbow Six Mobile, highlighting the game’s upcoming open beta. The trailer shows off a bit of gameplay. Check it out below.

The Rainbow Six Mobile trailer features gameplay showing off the game’s various Operators, some of the gunplay, and the general chaos and mayhem you can expect from a typical match.

Those interested can pre-register for the Rainbow Six Mobile closed on Google Play. There is no word yet on whether the closed beta will also be available on iOS down the line.

The closed beta will kick off on September 12, and will be available in USA, Brazil, Canada, Philippines, Mexico, Singapore, and India.

Rainbow Six Mobile was originally announced back in April. It will feature 5v5 multiplayer with Attackers vs Defenders-styled gameplay based on Rainbow Six Siege. Going by the trailers, Rainbow Six Mobile seems to offer close to a complete Rainbow Six Siege experience.

Ubisoft's competitive shooter is built from the ground up for mobile devices with a new control scheme and optimized UI.

Ubisoft has finally announced the recently-leaked Rainbow Six Mobile, which brings the 5v5 Attackers vs. Defenders-style gameplay of Rainbow Six Siege to mobile platforms in free-to-play fashion. A new trailer has been released containing pre-alpha gameplay footage and in-engine cinematics. Check it out below.

Along with featuring a roster of different Operators, there are also destructible environments (with two familiar maps, Bank and Border, being confirmed). According to an announcement post on Ubisoft’s official site, the development team is based in Montreal. It’s been working on the project for over three years.

“While we may share the same office with our colleagues from the Siege team, we are our own unique team composed of veterans from both the AAA console and mobile game worlds.” It also emphasizes that this is an independent team “built from the ground up and solely focused on developing Rainbow Six Mobile.”

While the core gameplay, Operators and maps are similar to Siege, the development team has rebuilt everything to leverage mobile devices. Along with a new control system specific to mobile, the UI and in-game presentation has also been optimized. The overall pacing seems to emphasize playing in “short, accessible bursts” while “enabling millions of new players to get the R6 experience.”

Sign-ups for an upcoming closed alpha are available but this will be the first of “many live tests” seeking feedback. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
