Word on the street is that publishing company, Take Two Interactive has more than ten games in development for the upcoming next generation of consoles. The source, it seems, was a call made to various Take Two investors, and stressed that the company is looking to release the majority of games in the next fiscal year. Thus far, the only publicly announced game from Take Two for next gen is the basketball sim game, NBA 2K14.
“We’re highly enthusiastic about the opportunities presented by next-generation consoles which are launching in November,” Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick said during the call. “We have a robust development pipeline of new intellectual properties and offerings from our proven franchises, including multiple unannounced titles planned for release during fiscal 2015.”
According to the president of Take Two, Karl Slatoff, one of these upcoming games will be a shooter that goes by the name of Evolve. Evolve was acquired when gaming company THQ declared bankruptcy and sold off all of their assets and IP.
