Team ICO HD Collection Spotted in the Wild (Again)

Posted By | On 29th, Jun. 2010

No, the rumour mill is still in hyperdrive concerning this one. While we’ve already had a few collections in the past, and will soon be getting a Sly Cooper HD Collection, popular rumour has it that Sony plans on beginning an entire line of HD Classics for its PS3 console, where they’ll be re-releasing popular PS2 games updated with modern visuals and functionality. The latest in this line of re-issues is purportedly a Team ICO Collection, which will consist of Shadow of the Colossus and ICO.

Now we have one more point in our favour, that adds fuel to the fire. The much-rumoured Team Ico Collection has been listed on the French Amazon website. This, of course, lends credibilty to the entire thing.

Sony’s president of SCE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, recently suggested that it is looking at releasing more classic PS2 games remastered in high-definition. While this may suggest that the listing of the Team ICO collection is nothing but a reactionary move on Amazon’s part, it’s certainly a hard pill to swallow.

We’ll have more for you on this as it develops. Watch this space.
