Tecmo Koei’s Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, the latest title in the long running action franchise being developed by Team Ninja in collaboration with Keiji Inafune’s comcept, will release on Steam on Windows PCs in addition to also releasing on the Xbox 360 and PS3, the company announced today.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will run at a blazing 60FPS on PCs; for those not in the know, Ninja Gaiden Z is an all new imagining of the series, mixing up ninjas with cybernetic warriors and zombies as you take on the role of a cybernetically revived and enhanced ninja to take them on.

The game’s unique, highly stylized comic book style promises a break from the increasingly drab direction the series’ visuals had been taking recently. The game, being helmed by Team Ninja and Inafune, should also potentially spell a return to form for a series that has increasingly seen a dramatic decline in quality in recent years.
