A little over a month after its release, Tekken 8 now has an in-game shop where players can spend real-world money to buy cosmetics for their characters. Dubbed the Tekken Shop, the shop is kicking things off with Uniqlo-branded gear, along with other cosmetics like classic costumes and avatar skins.

There are currently 4 legacy alternative costumes, 4 avatar skins and 8 fireworks that can be purchased from the Tekken Shop. According to Bandai Namco, the shop will be updated with new items on a monthly basis.

The Tekken Shop was originally uncovered earlier this month, and is seen by some as a fairly controversial addition to Tekken 8, as the title is a full-priced AAA release that launched without any indication of such an item shop coming to the game.

Tekken 8 is also slated to get more content in its first year in the form of four DLC fighters. Among the additions to the roster will be fan-favourite Eddy Gordo this Spring.

Tekken 8 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. For more details, check out our review.
