Telltale’s Game of Thrones will be getting a second season, studio head and co-founder Kevin Bruner has confirmed. The story was always planned with a second batch of episodes in mind, Bruner revealed.

“After this week’s finale, I’m pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series,” Bruner told The Hollywood Reporter (click on that link at your own risk, the article includes major spoilers for the first season of the game). “It’s currently in development.”

This will probably come as good news to fans of the franchise who got invested in the first season, which ended with the just released sixth episode. The sixth episode received resoundingly negative reviews for the players, for its lack of closure, and for setting up so many cliffhangers- issues which should be alleviated by the second season.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information on the game.
