I know it's hard Link, I'd be pretty upset too if I just wasted 200 rupees on a crappy sword. The Giant's Knife is the strongest sword in the classic Ocarina of Time, but it shatters after a handful of strikes, rendering it near useless. Considering you can quest for an upgraded and indestructible version, the Giant's Knife is a useless piece of smithery indeed.
