The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Trailer – The Last Line of Defence

Our last line of defence.

In this brand new video, we are given a look at the latest installment in the XCOM series, set to release for PlayStation 3, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is a tactical strategy shooter, in which you are a member of an elite government group battling against hoards of alien invaders. The series utilizes unique teamwork-tactic game play with mid-battle character control switches.

2012 saw the release of what many thought to be the first in the XCOM series, XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Enemy Unknown was met with great praise, enough so that it warranted a sequel, but what many series fans don’t know is that the XCOM series has a rich history, stretching all the way back to 1994.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown was actually a remake of the 1994 DOS release UFO: Enemy Unknown, the first in a long line of successive XCOM games, continuing all the way to 2001, where the series petered out with their Windows exclusive release, XCOM: Enforcer.

The combination of a storied lineage and unique gaming mechanics is what makes the XCOM series a win in our eyes.
