ESA Revamps E3 [2006]
For those of you who don’t know, the ESA stands for Electronic Software Association, the governing body of E3. The ESA decided to take a stand in 2006 and before E3 2006 launched, they had made some major decisions. One decision was to have a ban on scantily clad booth babes, because they thought they were distracting everyone from the games, which was the whole point of E3. Secondly the ESA changed the show to invite-only in hopes of reducing crowd size. I admit this was not a very good decision, because most of the games wouldn’t get the publicity they deserve and secondly, it was just a dumb idea.
