Professor X is a well known figure in the Marvel universe and is the leader of the X men and as such has tremendous psychic powers, so much so that he can stop the movements of other people. Over the years, his powers have evolved to a very high level, he is arguably the most powerful telepath on the planet. In the latest comic Avengers vs X-Men – Death of a Mentor, Charles Xavier dies, but as we all know  all comic books tend to revive their characters.
