The island of Lost recreated with Far Cry 3 map editor

The Black Rock of Insanity.

Far Cry 3 mapper ‘Krazee DD’ has gone ahead and created a mini recreation of the island from the TV show Lost using the Far Cry 3 map editor. I was wondering when someone would do something like this, considering the emphasis on the “island” that both, FC3 and Lost have.

Being a huge Lost fan myself, I enjoyed the video. Most of the landmarks that all the fans of Lost would easily recognize are there- the caves, the survivors’ camp on the beach, the DHARMA village, the well, the wreckage of the plane, the Nigerian plane perched on the hill. You can see a board being cooked over a fire, as we often saw in the show. It’s a pity we don’t get to see John Locke standing over it.

There are a few omissions though, two of the most obvious ones being the Black Rock, the ship that crashed in the middle of the island, and the hatch. The statue in which Jacob lived isn’t anywhere to be seen either.

It’s a very interesting video, have a look above, and tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Thanks, DSO Gaming.
