The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild May Be Launching In Spring 2017 After All

Nintendo, please just announce an official date and end this nonsensical speculation.

zelda- breath of the wild

Initially, it was believed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be a Nintendo Switch launch title. It was then revealed by some trusted insiders that the game might actually launch in Summer, with the Switch launching with a brand new Mario game instead. Now, over the last few days, we’ve been getting information that the game might be back on track for a Spring launch this year, after all.

It’s been frustrating with all the mixed signals is what I’m trying to say here. This latest bit of speculation, fuelled by the release date for the game as revealed in Japanese magazine CoroCoro (apparently), doesn’t help. CoroCoro apparently claims that Zelda will launch in Spring, which is… fine?

At this point, what do we believe? Most retailers believe the game is launching in March alongside the Switch. But trusted Nintendo insiders have told us that the game is delayed to at least June. So which is it? I can’t wait for the January 12/13 event, when Nintendo clears the air on everything once and for all.
