At the end of the week, we’ll get our hands on the cutest little remake there ever has been in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. There’s a lot about the game to look forward to, such as the return of classic dungeons, a new dungeon creator or a variety of other things. But there’s also, of course, the story, which a short trailer highlights.
Link’s Awakening is a game that was beloved for its unconventional story. Link finds himself washed ashore on Koholint Island and is tasked with waking a giant egg. Filled with odd characters, out of place enemies and a strange, melancholy tone, it is fondly remembered. While it lacks narration, you can get an idea of the story beats and feel with the teaser below.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will release for the Switch on September 20th. The review embargo will lift the day before on the 19th, so keep your eyes open.
