Skyview Tower Unlock Strategies

More than a few of the Skyview Towers have some technical issue plaguing them and require a creative solution. Others simply

Lookout Landing Skyview Tower

This Skyview Tower is automatically unlocked during the course of the main quest as you attempt to acquire the Paraglider. Speaking to the captain atop the gatehouse of Hyrule Castle begins your journey.

Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

The front access is barred to Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, leaving the only point of entry from up above, according to Sawson. Get airborne with a Zonai construct, or using Recall on the falling boulders, or leap off of any natural high ground in the vicinity. Once inside, drop to the bottom of the tower and unblock the doors using Ultrahand. Activate it for completion.

Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower

Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower has an Ultrahand task for you to perform. Connect the crates to the rope and the counterweight will raise the engineer so that they can repair the tower on your behalf.

Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower

The Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower is buried deep in snow and the only access point is via a cave system nearby. Once inside Meadela’s Mantle Cave, construct a makeshift raft with Ultrahand and make your way down the stream to a larger cave. Ascend through the wooden ceiling, straight into the tower which you can now unlock.

Hyrule Field Skyview Tower

The Hyrule Field Skyview Tower is held down by a Boss Bokoblin and a host of lesser Bokoblins. You can take the straightforward approach and slaughter them all, or sneak in and simply activate the tower before moving on, the choice is yours.

Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower

Not too far from Serenne Stable is Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. The tower is perched atop an isolated mesa of sorts, and your only way to reach it on foot will be by constructing a makeshift bridge with the materials lying around in the vicinity with Ultrahand. If you can get there by making yourself airborne, even better! Once at your destination, touch the terminal, and unlock the tower.

Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower

Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower does not have a task to complete, but only because the trek to it is the task. Located in freezing temperatures, dress Link up warmly, and pack any Recipes with the ‘Spicy’ prefix, while heading south from Zora Domain or east out of Kakariko Village. The hike will require some good Stamina as well.

Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower

Even more of a gauntlet than Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower awaits you on your journey to Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower, so stock up on all the Cold Resistance items you can, whether Armor or Recipes. Set out from Snowfield Stables making sure to bring along Stamina restoratives and hiking gear as well.

Popla Foothills Skyview Tower

The darkened Popla Foothills Skyview Tower will need its power turned back on. Descend down the well in the vicinity. The man inside the Popla Foothills North Well will be calling out for aid, so Ascend back up and locate the cave entrance at 0609, -2217, 0052. Here you can step on the plate and release the guy, while also unlocking the tower above. Ascend and unlock the terminal to wrap things up here.

Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower

A Skyview Tower in the grip of thorns, Rabella Wetlands’ solution is not as straightforward as the one for Rospro Pass below. The rain complicates matters, and so a little creative thinking is required here. Construct a makeshift rain shelter, and then set the brambles alight with a method of your choosing–fire arrow, incendiary fruit, burning torch. Once the obstruction has been turned to ash, wrap things up here by unlocking the terminal.

Rospro Pass Skyview Tower

Rospro Pass Skyview Towers is encircled by brambles that cannot be crossed. Use fire instead, and burn it all away. Anything will do, a burning torch, fire fruit, fire arrow. Activate the tower once inside and carry on to the next Skyview Tower.

Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower

Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower makes use of another one of Link’s new abilities–Ascend. Enter the cave system below the tower, and mine your way through until you find the small cave with the three decorative rocks. Stand in front of them and look up with Ascend deployed, in order to swim through the ceiling and into the tower’s floor situated directly above. Ultrahand the door obstructions out of the way, and let Billson work his magic on the terminal to unlock the tower for you.

Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower

The obstruction atop Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower is effectively cutting off the power supply to the tower’s terminal itself. Get up there somehow, the easiest way being with the Zonai Rockets nearby and judicious use of Ultrahand. Shove the platform out of the tower’s way and descend the tower to turn on the terminal to get this Tower wrapped up as well.

Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower

An annoying Aerocuda has snatched up the terminal for Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower. Take it down hard with an arrow, preferably one with a Keese Eyeball fusion to make it easy on yourself. Hand off the device to the waiting engineer of the tower, and they will wrap up this tower’s task on your behalf, thus unlocking the region for you.

Upland Zorana Skyview Tower

The gunk on the ground that is obstructing the door to Upland Zorana Skyview Tower can be washed away with Splash Fruit, Chuchu Jelly, or a Hydrant Zonai Device, the choice is yours. Get through there and unlock the terminal to complete it.

And that was all fifteen Skyview Towers in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that you should unlock as soon as possible in the game. Map traversal is made vastly easier in doing so, in addition to gaining reconnaissance on the entirety of the Surface and Sky layers. Enjoy exploring your world!
