The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

With each passing day, the hype and anticipation surrounding the imminent launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is growing increasingly intense, and Nintendo will, unsurprisingly, be looking to fan those flames as we count the days down to the game’s release.

In fact, on the eve of the long-awaited open world title’s release, the company will be hosting a special Nintendo Treehouse Live event. Taking to Twitter, it recently announced that the launch celebration livestream will kick off on May 11 at 6:45 PM PT / 9:45 PM ET. Split across four separate segments, it will feature gameplay from Tears of the Kingdom.

Whether that means any new gameplay will be shown off remains to be seen, but it’d be safe to bet that Nintendo will be showing off gameplay from the sections of the game that were covered in the recent round of hands-on previews.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is due out for the Nintendo Switch on May 12.
