A new video for the upcoming survival crafting game The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria showcases quite a bit if uninterrupted gameplay. Recorded during the showfloor at ongoing industry event Gamescom 2023, game director Jon-Paul Dumont explains the title along with some gameplay footage.
The gameplay video shows off a Dwarf digging around Moria in their exploration. Showing off a bit of the title’s early gameplay, the video also gives us a look at traversal, as well as resource gathering.
Dumont also explains that, while The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will feature a procedurally generated version of Moria, there will still be recognisable landmarks from the setting, despite their state of disrepair owing to the events from the books. According to Dumont, the PC release on the Epic Games Store will allow co-op for up to 8 players, while the PS5 version will only have 4-player co-op.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is slated for release on PC and PS5 on October 24. The Xbox Series X/S version is slated for release in early 2024.
