Control was already an excellent looking game when it first launched in 2019, but even back then, it was apparent that running on aged console hardware, it could have been even more impressive. Launching a remaster for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S was a no-brainer for Remedy, then, and they did some excellent things with the new console hardware. Whether you’re beholding the game’s bizarre, captivating environments with ray-tracing enabled or enjoying its blistering action at 60 FPS, it’s hard not to be impressed with this upgrade.
